About
Calum Thom is a multidisciplinary artist based in Edinburgh, Scotland and is one part creator of the art group Anomie Collective. He studied a BA in Painting & Printmaking at the Glasgow School of Art and an MFA at the University of Barcelona. He has exhibited nationally and internationally including solo and group shows in South Korea, Spain and throughout the U.K. His varied works, embrace a wide spectrum of subjects that range from political figures to icons of popular culture, weaving together satirical narratives that look to challenge established notions. His current works, through an exploration of paint, take the form of surreal and somewhat abstract landscapes that provoke contemplation on the notion of belonging.
